  1. Kenny and I saw this last week. It was... cute, nothing spectacular, but certainly not terrible. A lot of the experience was ruined for me by the fact the playwrite was sitting beside me and laughing at all the jokes he wrote.

The way the modern interpretations of the tin man, cowardly lion, and scarecrow were done was particularly clever and fit really well, also making for a lot of amusing moments. They interacted well, and there was a lot of physical humor, you can tell the actors were having fun, and it really showed.

  2. I would say that I wasn't a big fan of the Wizard of Facebook. It took the original concept and tried to add some crude humor to it. Some of the characters were funny, but much of the play was based around characters from other things. The two main characters had only one motivation, “naked stuff,” which made much of the action feel very disingenuous. The The opening had me hooked, but the momentum seemed to lack. There wasn't enough room to breathe with so many characters and such little time. I would have liked to have them become more connected. The play was a one act, but for what it was aiming for I think it should have either lengthened the time or hinted at friendships not seen on stage. The characters were rather humorous and the action moved quickly, perhaps too quickly.

  3. (Frostic play reading)
The reading of this play was really good. I was surprised by everything going on. The tightness of the space and the multiple actions going on at the same time. I don't remember the title of the piece, but I loved it. The writing was tight. The ending was good even if I was hoping he would pay up in the end. I like the overarching theme of hard work being not nesicarly the goal at the end of the rainbow but the emphasis of a person's life. It all made sense and was terrific. Really great dialogue between the characters. It at times felt like it was tipping the line to archetypes, but how they acted through their dialogue made me believe that they were really there and in that mindset.
